Any tips on this damned sensation?

There was a time, a few ages ago, when my path carried me through Spain... It was only at night when I could notice the shadows of her steps, embedded within the fine dust coating my life had at that point. The sparrows of her smile always managed to shatter whatever cloak of shadows I'd have entangled around my neck, as I paced my breath so I could match the humming rumble of her heartbeat. Every once in a while, the touch of her pair of reddish ribbons, riveted by sharp though gentle stabs from the pale shards of frozen smoke she carried with her at all times, that touch used to cast one more ray of light over the buds of life I carry with
